1. Light: Peonies prefer ample sunlight, requiring at least six hours of direct sunlight daily. Insufficient light will result in slow plant growth, delayed flowering, and fewer flowers.
2. Temperature: Peonies adapt to a wide range of temperatures and generally grow normally between 15°C and 30°C. However, they are not cold-tolerant, and the lowest winter temperature should not drop below -10°C.
3. Water: Peonies prefer a humid environment but cannot tolerate waterlogging. Watering should adhere to the principle of "watering when the soil is dry and watering when it is wet." Water every two to three days in summer and every seven to ten days in winter. When watering, be careful not to let water directly reach the leaves to avoid causing diseases.
4. Soil: Peonies prefer loose, fertile, and well-drained soil. A suitable potting soil can be made from a mixture of leaf mold, garden soil, and sandy soil in a ratio of 3:3:1. Add an appropriate amount of organic fertilizer to the potting soil to improve soil fertility.
